The research group of Associate Professor Jarryd Pla has an opening for a PostDoctoral Fellow. In this role you will conduct simulations design and experimental work on superconducting quantum devices to perform quantumnoiselimited measurements at elevated temperatures > 1.5 Kelvin). Quantum technologies that operate at microwave frequenciessuch as quantum computers sensors and spectrometersmust be cooled near absolute zero 273C) using highly complex and expensive refrigerators to clearly detect their signals. This position aims to develop new devices and techniques that facilitate signal detection from microwave quantum technologies (with a focus on quantum computers) at higher temperatures enabling their use in significantly more affordable refrigeration systems.
This role will report to Associate Professor Jarryd Pla and has no direct reports.
