The role will support the European Procurement activities with a special focus on optimization of costs in to CAPEX related operations including identifying opportunities of value generation through sales of sawn timber products.
This is a European role and will require a lot of travel across Europe as part of the role. Part of our Blue forest program this role will implement new ways for the procurement team to add value whilst contributing to our sustainability and decarbonisation targets. We supply our manufacturers with material so were looking for this role to increase control over our buytosell process.
Youll maintain the daily contact and overview of the network of new pallets suppliers across Europe ensuring a thorough control of costs and compliance. The manager is expected to interact with Suppliers driving improvement of their operations as well as with CHEP Regional Supply Chain and Timber Sourcing teams to guarantee the availability of stocks of finished goods the reduction of waste (slowrotating goods) and optimization of raw materials ordering.
