Job Description

Job Title: RF Automation Manager

Job Code: 22461

Job Location: Rochester NY

Job Schedule: 9/80Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

As the RF Test Automation Manager responsibilities include overseeing a team of engineers by setting goals managing timecards developing plans and providing training. The role involves driving the teams work to completion ensuring delivery and tracking metrics. Maintaining and improving the processes for completing work is essential. Additionally the manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining costeffective methods for testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems. This includes performing RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks conducting operational tests and isolating faults in radio systems. Utilizing various test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio equipment performance is also a key duty. The manager will create test strategies and specifications for new and revised assemblies prepare test and diagnostic software design test fixtures and complete test procedures for both new and existing products. Developing debugging and optimizing test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand is required along with documenting test hardware and software using computerbased tools.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be eligible for SECRET security clearance
  • Supervisory functions to include coaching setting goals training and managing timecards.
  • Direct daily tasks participate in Agile Scrum activities.
  • Contribute technical input to design reviews and code reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years prior related RF auotmation experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related RF automation experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related RF automation experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • MS degree in Electrical Computer Engineering or Engineering Management.
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process.
  • Experience in digital analog and RF circuitry design/troubleshoot
  • Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers generators oscilloscopes and meters
  • Understanding of software defined radio products andcommunications
  • Expertise in evaluation of designs for testability;unit and system level testing coverage analysis
  • Must be a self starter and able to work successfullywith minimal supervision
  • NI LabVIEW/TestStand development experience (CLAD or CLD certification)
  • Engineering or process experience
  • Experience with automation systems including electronic test
  • Experience with RF parametric testing

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York State is $108500 $201500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
