Compensation plans are based on a multistep progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.

The Grants Administrator is responsible for the comprehensive management of allfederal state local public and private grants for Montgomery County. This includesidentifying funding opportunities developing grant programs writing and submittingapplications and managing the life cycle of awarded grants. The role demands a deepunderstanding of grant complianceparticularly under 2 CFR 200 (UniformGuidance)and a demonstrated record of successful grant acquisition position requires highlevel coordination with department heads external partnersand auditors to ensure that all grantrelated activities align with regulatory financial andprogrammatic standards. The work is performed with significant independence andrequires strong judgment organizational ability and adherence to professional standardsin public administration.
Bachelors degree in Public Administration Business Administration Planning or arelated field. At least five 5 years of professional experience in grant writing and administrationincluding two 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity. Valid Alabama drivers license. Demonstrated success in securing and managing largescale grants including federalfunding.
Availability to attend occasional evening or weekend public meetings or grantrelatedevents. Must be able to work collaboratively across departments and with the public in aprofessional setting.
