Benton School District
Benton School District is seeking an innovative and experienced educational leader to serve as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. This position plays a key role in driving instructional excellence supporting educators and ensuring the highest standards of student achievement. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of curriculum development instructional best practices and educator support systems.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for overseeing the districts instructional programs professional development initiatives and student support services. This role requires strategic leadership to enhance teaching and learning across all grade levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise professional development programs to enhance teacher effectiveness.
- Supervise assessment programs to monitor and improve student learning outcomes.
- Supervise special education services to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Supervise Gifted and Talented (GT) Advanced Placement (AP) and English Learner (EL) programs.
- Supervise the supervision and placement of instructional facilitators and support personnel.
- Supervise the development of highquality instructional materials aligned with district goals.
- Supervise critical concerns related to students in grades K4 ensuring equitable and responsive instruction.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in educational leadership curriculum and instruction or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership at the school or district level.
- Deep knowledge of curriculum design assessment and educator professional development.
- Strong leadership collaboration positive outlook and datadriven decisionmaking skills.
