TITLE: AVID Tutor
LOCATION:Urbana High School
SUPERVISOR: Building Principal(s) and Assistant Principal(s)
JOB SUMMARY: AVID tutors will help support AVID studentsin the tutorial process. AVID Tutors will provide guidance and support in answering questions from different subjectareas and give feedback to students on their work. AVID Tutors will help guide and lead discussions on tutorial topics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Illinois Educator License
- Internal UHS employee
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must be available on Tuesday or Thursday from 12:38 1:28 (lunch orprep period only)
- AVID Tutor Start and End Dates: Week of January 6 2025 May 23 2025
- Must take the required onehour training on being an AVID Tutor.
- AVID Tutoring Training Dates: Must attend one. December 19 2024 from 3:30 4:30 Location TBD
- AVID Tutor Pay Rate: $32/hour

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of professional personnel. This is an exempt position.
