Joining a startup within a wellestablished company like Axpo Services EMEA presents an exciting opportunity in Madrid. As an Inhouse Developer Test Automation youll contribute to building and shaping the corporate automation test strategy and best practices. Your role involves ensuring software quality and reliability through automated testing solutions. Collaboration with software developers QA engineers and stakeholders is key to maintaining high standards. Responsibilities include creating maintaining and executing automated test cases using TriacentisTosca and QTest helping shape Automation Test strategy (best practices ROI ways of working) as well as training colleagues and acting as a key user for test automation. Additionally explore usage of open source based automation testing to allow a hybrid automation testing tools strategy when necessary.
What you will do:
- Defined tailored Automation test Strategy (ROI analysis best practices what and when automate etc. to projects under Axpo portfolio.
- Train and support QA Engineers in Automation testing expanding automation testing culture.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks tools and scripts to improve testing processes and increase test coverage.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to design test cases and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Utilize algorithms such as pairwise and linear expansion to enhance test coverage.
- Create and manage automated performance and load tests to evaluate system scalability and response times.
- Execute functional and regression test portfolios identify and report software defects and work closely with development teams for timely resolution. Additionally maintain test cases the test repository and stay updated on industry best practices for continuous process improvement.
What you bring & who you are:
- University degree in Computer Science or related field with a proactive approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration skills are essential for working with crossfunctional teams and customers.
- Desired experience includes software development test automation and familiarity with Tricentis tools like qTest and Tosca. This is considered a key plus.
- Strong programming skills in Java Python or C# coupled with Agile/Scrum methodology knowledge.
- Fluent in English with German and Spanish as advantageous languages
