OX2s purpose is to accelerate access to renewable energy. We are a leading multitechnology renewables player in Europe and Australia with >20 year track record currently shifting our business model towards a hybrid Independent Power Producer (IPP).
We manage the entire value chain from acquisition of project rights to greenfield development permit application process financial close procurement construction technical and commercial management and operations.
Team and Position
We are seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join our Investment team where you will play a pivotal role in delivering on the strategic ambition to become a hybrid IPP
This role is critical in supporting the companys growth by ensuring high quality investment processes and decisions as well as managing project progress risks and opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project driving investment strategies and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize project economics and financing structures. Additionally you will play an integral role as part of project teams supporting renewable assets through to construction and into operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Investments and project teams through latestage development phase and realization to final investment decision.
- Ensure best practice financial modelling of renewable energy projects ensuring accuracy transparency and alignment with investment criteria.
- Lead the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the executive team board and investment committees.
- Support negotiations with lenders investors and offtakers
- Work closely with the development finance and commercial teams to align investment strategies with corporate goals.
- Engage with external stakeholders including financial institutions advisors and investors to optimize financing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with investment policies financial regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Economics Engineering or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in M&A/investments financial modelling or project finance within the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Proven experience in financial modelling (Excel) discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis and sensitivity analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to efficiently communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience working within an IPP utility investment bank or financial advisory firm focused on energy.
- Familiarity with power purchase agreements (PPAs) regulatory frameworks and energy market dynamics.
- Knowledge of M&A transactions and corporate finance within the renewable energy sector.
