Automotive Service Repair Tech Job description

Job Type: Fulltime
Salary: From $28.00 per hour Experience Pay Directed

Responsibilities:
- Perform basic repairs on Lincoln and Ford models including some preventative maintenance and warranty repairs.
- Receive repair orders and take to the stall area.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the repair as authorized.
- Communicate with the Parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Tag and save parts turn in parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Advise Service Advisor immediately if any additional work is needed if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Roadtest vehicles to ensure repair has addressed the customer complaint.
- Quality check work performed.
- Attend training classes.
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure that customers vehicles are kept clean.
- Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
- Understand and follow federal state and local regulations governing service repair work.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience level 1 year)
- Valid Drivers License and good driving record
- Willingness to work in a mechanical shop with moderate or loud noise level
- Must possess all tools required for auto repair and maintenance
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
