Position Summary
The City of Philadelphia is looking for a parttime Data Analyst Intern to perform various data analysis and support our Planning and Development unit in performing daytoday operations for the Division of Housing and Community Developments Compliance Unit. The future Intern should be interested in learning more about the various aspects of community housing projects minority compliance and data analysis skills. The intern will assist in a variety of tasks including researching data gathering organizing and coordinating activities for Diversity Equity and Inclusion Initiatives and project management. They will also be expected to attend and participate in daily/weekly housing project related meetings.
Essential Functions
Assist the Division of Housing and Community Development staff to organize existing data to analyze and make appropriate decisions.
Competencies Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Data analyst interns to develop the necessary skills and knowledge in MBE/WBE minority compliance for housing construction projects.
Qualifications :
Preferably candidates currently enrolled in an undergraduate program preferably in data science computer science or a related field.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google sheets for data analysis and augmentation.
Some analytical skills and familiarity with data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI Tableau and SQL.
Basic computer skills in creating new project folders extracting data and naming new folders with actual project names.
