Sound like a familia youre ready to join Heres the details on what we are looking for in this position:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Establish maintain and update electronic drawings.
- Drafting work for overhead power lines for contracted electrical utilities which includes but not limited to construction plan maps and permitting drawings (AutoCAD).
- Technical drawings of electrical assemblies steel pole loading drawings structure assembly drawings and wire attachment drawings (Microstation) and must conform to utility standards.
- Substation Engineering: Working experience with Single line diagram AC/DC schematics Wiring Diagram. Utility drafting experience is a plus.
- Work closely with engineers and designers to perform assigned task in given amount of time.
- Take ownership of the project.
- Survey Transmission and Distribution Lines.
- Travel to the field to perform power line survey as required.
- Complete other duties as assigned including a willingness to temporarily fillin for other roles/duties as required.
Knowledge & Skills
- AAS degree in Drafting and Design preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microstation preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in AutoCAD and/or Microstation design relating to civil engineering electrical engineering and architecture preferred.
- Working knowledge of drawing standards preferred.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Able to selfperform tasks with littleno supervision.
- Ability to mentor less experienced drafters.
- Vehicle drivers license for multistate travel required.
- Proficiency AutoCAD and/or Microstation required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
