The CloudTune Capacity Management and Planning (CaMP) PMO team is responsible for optimizing SDOs capacity decisions minimizing risk to availability minimizing cost to Amazon and reducing overhead to Service Owners (SOs). CaMP TPMs deliver across multiple functional areas including: Peak Event Support Legacy Deprecation (mitigating risks of security availability and costs of supporting multiple generations of hardware) Capacity Planning and Capacity Management (balancing supply and demand Inventory Management (control SDOs idle capacity to reduce costs and optimize fulfillment) and Campaign Management (providing scalable mitigation of risks of availability cost and security).
The TPM is accountable for supporting and managing all stages of high impact complex cross functional programs the majority of which are SDOwide such as supporting Peak Events such as PrimeDay and Black Friday / Cyber Monday migrating SDO worldwide services off of Legacy capacity etc. The TPM also supports the strategy and roadmap for the systems and tools used by CAMPPMO customers and suppliers. Using technical and domain knowledge the TPM solves ambiguous problems like creating scalable solutions for demand shaping to support peak events using good judgment to escalate when appropriate and proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
The TPM makes accurate meaningful and actionable data available to the team and stakeholders creating/publishing dashboards reports and queries. The TPM uses data to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and to identify and execute on opportunities to invent and simplify improving yields and/or reducing overhead of existing mechanisms.
