Job Summary/Description:
KCBD is looking for a hardworking creative and energetic storyteller to join our awardwinning team as a newscast producer. This is a fulltime onair position. We will invest in train and provide opportunities for the winning candidate to grow and prosper.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Be a team player
Produce with other producers and anchors our #1rated newscasts. You will collaborate with other team members to deliver the best possible product onair.
Gather and verify news information
Conduct thorough interviews research factcheck
Deliver content to digital and social media platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
Empathy for others. A teambuilder with a dedication to collaboration and getting it right while serving our community.
Strong writing skills
Ability to write conversationally and creatively
Video editing skills
Degree in journalism/communications/English or equivalent background preferred
Some newsroom experience preferred
Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Availability to work various hours as breaking news or special events warrant; but understand we have a sizeable staff to spread across all dayparts.
