Job Description
This fulltime internship experience is designed to provide an individual the opportunity to grow and develop the necessary skills needed to advance their career into the field of studentathlete academic support.
Reporting to the Associate Director of SAASS the Assistant Academic Coordinator will work with a SAASS team to provide academic support for assigned studentathletes. The Assistant Academic Coordinator will assist in monitoring assigned studentathletes academic progress with regards to University and NCAA academic eligibility requirements. The Assistant Academic Coordinator will also help facilitate recruitment of prospective studentathletes. This position will require the ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a related masters degree active progress towards completing a masters degree or an active plan to obtain a masters degree or possess an equivalent level of training and or experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to develop written reports
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various stakeholders in a time sensitive environment
Ability to work independently and as a part of a cohesive team
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of NCAA eligibility bylaws
Experience in studentathlete academic support services
