We are seeking an individual responsible for planning organizing and delivering various classroom and virtual training programs. This individual will work directly with the Senior Manager Learning Delivery to execute business priorities and the overarching training delivery strategy for North America. The Learning Delivery Manager will build relationships with key stakeholders at managed and franchise properties and utilize an understanding of property challenges to tailor learning as appropriate. The manager will provide recommendations for program delivery including but not limited to ILT VILT digital learning simulations etc. Responsibilities will include programs/initiative deployment to effectively achieve results in alignment with broader business objectives as well as conducting learning consultations with onproperty leaders to understand property and market needs. Strong facilitation skills are necessary as the role will include facilitation of Marriott Curriculums Connect U and En Route.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with ILT VILT and digital learning.
Minimum of 3 years experience in classroom training.
Minimum of 3 years of hotel operations experience (MSB preferred).
Up to 60 travel required.
Preferred
Located in a major city.
Can coach others for performance improvement.
Experience developing learning solutions.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Build relationships with key stakeholders in managed and franchised properties and work with onproperty leaders to conduct a learning consultation to understand property and market needs.
Utilizes an understanding of property challenges to conduct consultation and tailor learning programs as appropriate.
Curates a learning plan or program based on an understanding of the property or market needs that is representative of the Marriott brand brand standards and service level or other approved Marriott content.
Delivers training to ensure the transfer of knowledge according to program learning objectives.
Facilitates consultations and program delivery using technology (e.g. VILT digital learning LMS simulations).
Cofacilitates with a training partner through contracting coaching and feedback.
Demonstrates knowledge of the uniqueness of each audience including adjusting delivery to the various learning styles represented as well as for any special needs that could affect the learning by creating an environment to enable maximum learning by using adult learning principles.
Conducts self in a manner reflective of Marriott professionalism and decorum before during and after the learning event.
Demonstrates overall control of the learning environment including effectively leading the learning activities giving directions utilizing the experiential learning cycle and addressing classroom behavioral issues.
Demonstrates mastery of training technology and best practice facilitation methods to maintain quality standards for all mediums of training delivery.
Participates in the scheduling administration marketing production postproduction and evaluation of learning events as needed.
Maintains content and process integrity or programs recommending enhancements and develops and deploys methods to solicit feedback measures impact and adjusts courses or delivery approach.
Works with the Logistics team to provide feedback and suggestions on logistics processes.
Assists with the implementation of new programs as appropriate or requested.
Shares learning and insights as a voice from the classroom ensuring alignment with business and brand priorities.
The salary range for this position is $64200 to $99400 annually. In addition to the annual salary the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus.
