Pupil Transportations goal is to provide dependable efficient and safe transportation service. The School Bus Aide performs routine human support work monitoring the conduct of students on school buses and assisting with discipline and safety; does related work as required. Primarily and most frequently the work done here is under direct supervision within one functional area and of a routine nature.
Starting pay is $19.65 an hour. Starting offer is based on applicable education experience and internal equity.This is a parttime 2029 hour per week nonexempt position and is eligible for prorated benefits. Minimum Qualifications:
Standard work environment.
Occasional lifting of at least fifty pounds is required.Work is typically performed inside and around the exterior of a bus and employees must also be able to satisfy the following physical requirements: Long periods of sitting; Overhead reaching bending and stooping crawling to inspect under buses or bus seats. Must have the physical ability to descend from or climb up to at least 3.5 feet at the emergency door to assist in the evacuation of the passengers. Ability to secure a wheelchair safely on the bus. Contact with Transportation Supervisor drivers and passengers. Contact with various administrators and the general public. Occasional meetings with administrators and/or parents and patrons.
