Job Description
Systems Engineer
Annapolis Junction MD
Were seeking a Systems Engineer to support our U.S. Government program(s). The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following
Storage administration knowledge including provisioning of LUNs mapping storage to servers
Storage administration knowledge including NFS iSCSI CIFSIntegration with VMWare ESXi servers
Data migration strategies
Snapshots
Storage monitoring and performance tuning
Experience managing and administering Veritas NetBackup systems and backupschedules
Technical expertise with Linux based operating systems
Experience hardening storage infrastructure in accordance with System Security policiesand DISA STIGs
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelors Degree is desired. An additional four years of experience can be substitute the degree.
- Experience:
- 7 of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar type of work
- Other:
- An active TS/SCI clearance with appropriate Polygraph (Poly).
- Must be a motivated selfstarter with excellent time management skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be an excellent communicator verbal & written.
- Must be able to work with team members and by individually.
- Must be able to connect with individuals of varying backgrounds.
Salary Range: $180000..00 USD / year
Salary Description: The pay range for this job with multilevels is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
