Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Work closely with Business Lead and Managers Project Directors with a focus on earthworks landfills solid waste and site remediation design
- Coordinate all aspects of the civil design including being responsible for the design.
- Develop or verify the technical scope of a project.
- Complete civil designs following the budget and schedule.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and address critical issues.
- Work closely with the engineering group to facilitate decisionmaking related to civil design
- Ensure the clients requirements including specifications and standards are integrated into the project.
- Ensure quality controls processes are being followed.
- Mentor and develop junior staff.
- Represent GHD at Client meetings when required.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors (. degree in civil engineering and P. Eng in Ontario
- Minimum of 10 years of extensive technical design experience
- Proven experience in civil design delivery for larger multidiscipline projects with a focus on earthworks site remediation solid waste and renewable energy considered an asset.
- Experience working in a DesignBuild environment is considered an asset.
- Detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards is considered essential.
- Experience working in an integrated 3D environment.
- Team building and mentoring skills.
