Job Description
The Parts Counterperson plays a critical role in ensuring our service team has the parts and resources they need to deliver exceptional automotive repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist technicians by accurately identifying and sourcing parts for service and repairs.
- Maintain and organize inventory in the parts department to ensure availability and efficiency.
- Process incoming shipments verify accuracy and stock parts in designated locations.
- Collaborate with the service team to prioritize urgent part requests and minimize downtime.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering to prevent shortages.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal team members and external vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of parts transactions receipts and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and safety protocols.
Qualifications :
Preferred:
- At least 2 3 years of Parts Counter experience in a dealership setting.
- BMW parts certification and/or luxury dealership experience.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
- Experience in a highvolume service department.
- Proficiency in using parts lookup software CDK and dealership management systems.
- Detailoriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Required:
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- Valid drivers license and good driving record.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass preemployment testing to include background checks MVR drug test credit report and valid driver license.
Additional Information :
(The Parts Counterperson Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include hourly pay rate of nineteen dollars an hour. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of parts revenue department achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
