Job Description
Established Southern New Jersey Pediatric Practice with opportunity for a new Nurse Practitioner to join practice either part time or fulltime. Excellent salary and benefits available. Our practice is committed to providing the highest quality health care in a compassionate and friendly atmosphere. Single Pediatric office located in Deptford NJ approximately 30 minutes away from CHOP in Philadelphia and easy access to CHOP subspecialists in Voorhees and New Jersey. We are affiliated with Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill New Jersey and Virtua Hospital in Voorhees Township New Jersey.

- Performing physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses
- Administering and performing diagnostic tests such as xrays and laboratory tests
- Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
- Detecting changes in patients health and modifying treatment plans as needed.
- Educating and counseling patients and families on presenting health problems treatment plans and home care
- Facilitating the patients transition within and between health care settings e.g. admitting transferring and discharging patients.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Planning and managing patient care according to the patients needs
- Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPPA OSHA etc.
- Actively maintaining knowledge of current medical research and trends
Nurse Practitioner Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
- Knowledge of computerbased data management programs and information systems as well as medical records and pointofinterview technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare workers and collaborate with team members
- Must be able to think critically evaluate various options to treat a condition and then identify the one he or she decides will have the best outcome.
- Maintain a positive attitude in a fastpaced yet friendly environment
- Must be well organized and detailoriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion concerning health service records and information
Nurse Practitioner Qualifications:
- Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse licensure required
- Graduate degree from an accredited nursing program such as a Master of Science in nursing
- Must have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of practice
