Job Description
The Brearley School an independent girls school serving over 770 students KXII seeks candidates for a Math Team Coach for students in Classes VXII starting January 2025.
We invite interested candidates to apply by completing an application and uploading a cover letter and resume at Math Team Coach will join a dynamic team of math teachers to engage and challenge students with an outliers appetite for problemsolving outside of the core curriculum.
Responsibilities include:
- coaching the Upper School Math Team; traveling with the team for local and regional contests including on weekends
- leading an afterschool advanced problemsolving seminar for interested Middle and Upper School students (noncredit bearing)
- implementing an inclusive antibias antiracist pedagogy
- collaborating with teachers in the math department on opportunities to offer enrichment
The ideal candidate will:
- have a bachelors degree in math; an advanced degree is preferred
- have experience with national or international math competitions
- demonstrate an interest in working with students at the Middle and Upper School level
- demonstrate strong skills in communication
- demonstrate the desire to work collaboratively and in consultation
- have a commitment to the education of girls
- have competence in inclusive antibias antiracist pedagogy.

Pay
$5000 per trimester (three trimesters in the academic year)
