About the Role
Our busy technical department are seeking a dedicated enthusiastic and experienced Technician to join our resident fulltime staff who will be based in the Theatre Royal but will be expected to also work in the Concert Hall and any other areas where your skillset may be required.
As a Technician you will provide hands on support to visiting companies working and when required leading on GetIns GetOuts and performances throughout the venue to deliver our performances rehearsals and events to the highest possible standards of safety quality and efficiency.
This will include work on mainstage events in both the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall as well as foyer events maintenance work and other projects. Also maintenance periods; to include cleaning safety inspections and repairs plus any other remedial work needed by the venue.
The successful applicant will have an up to date working knowledge of lighting and sound equipment ideally including ETC Eos lighting consoles and/or DiGiCo SD series sound desks a competent knowledge of the setup and repair of current lighting and sound fixtures and peripherals; an able knowledge of the rigging of motors and associated equipment; a good knowledge of industry standard practices procedures and methodology for efficient and safe working within the venue. As well as preferably at least one years experience working in a mid/large scale venue.
