This person will lead a team of talented professionals that will drive the evolution and expansion of the TMobile Network. We operate in a very fastpaced agile environment with quick decisions. We encourage innovation and expect you to take ownership and initiative. This role provides a unique opportunity to drive endpoint security Technology direction for TMobile USA. The Manager of Cybersecurity will facilitate security related interactions with business partners OEMs and service partners. Integration with the cybersecurity community internal to TMobile and external with partners such as government industry and security organizations is necessary. This person will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills excellent communication skills and effectively manage the time and effort of all individual contributors projects and associated initiatives. A strong understanding of security technologies architecture and best practices will be critical to the success of this role. The team maintains corporate data network security infrastructure and provides information security based on the enforcement of the TMobile security policies. This role oversees the deployment management and optimization of endpoing security solutions to protect against cyber threats. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity endpoint protection threat detection and incident response along with excellent leadership and problemsolving skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and regulatory controls threats vulnerabilities and overall risk profile of the enterprise (per team function).
  • Lead the design deployment and optimization of EDR solutions ensuring alignment with security and business objectives.
  • Oversee monitoring detection and response to endpoint security threats managing containment eradication and recovery.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies industry regulations and best practices for endpoint protection.
  • Continuously improve configurations rules and integrations implementing automation to enhance threat response.
  • Mentor analysts senior analysts engineers architects and cybersecurity individual contributors to promote successful performance and career growth in alignment with department and enterprise objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to provide cybersecurity consultation on designs and/or implementation of cybersecurity controls ensuring adherence to TMobile security standards and/or best practices.
  • Plan and implement appropriate protective measures to include policy process and overall cybersecurity awareness.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills necessary to engage with diverse cross functional groups and present effectively to small and large groups.
  • Lead security projects driven by groups both internal and external to Digital Security.
  • Develop strategy roadmap and requirements for enterprise information protection to align with technology product and overall business strategy.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Computer Science Engineering or related field; Equivalent work experience many be considered.

Experience:

  • 5 years cybersecurity technical experience
  • Less than 2 years Management leadership experience

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Indepth knowledge of endpoint security principles best practices and EDR methodologies in largescale environment.
  • Experience with high level design architecture security technologies Networking web services and SOA. Understanding of encryption obfuscation tokenization technologies
  • Strong presentation skills to large and small audiences.
  • Subject matter expert in many facets of network & information security including Firewall policy design SSL Certificate management vulnerability analysis & mitigation and other topics as assigned.
  • Strong knowledge of current technological trends and developments in the area of cybersecurity
  • Solid understanding of TMobiles network elements and how they work together (EIT Engineering & 3rd Party).
  • Knowledge of federal & compliance regulations e.g. SOX PCI & CPNI
  • 3 years Technical Project Management
  • Familiarity with load balancers (ex A10 F5 firewalls (ex CheckPoint) Venafi MDM (ex Mobile Iron) Cloud (ex AWS Azure) Malware Protection (ex FireEye) Advanced Persistent Threats (ex Damballa) Privileged Accounts (ex CyberArk) SIEM (ex ArcSight) Log & Event (ex Splunk) Intrusion IDS/IPS (ex Symantec) Cloud Platform (ex PCF Docker) Scanning (ex Qualys) AppSec (ex Veracode)
  • Medium to advance knowledge of Scripting tools (Python/Perl/Shell/HTML/PHP).
  • Experience with high level design architecture security technologies Networking web services and SOA. Understanding of encryption obfuscation tokenization technologies

Base Pay Range: $126800 $228700

Corporate Bonus Target: 15

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At TMobile employees in regular nontemporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a yearend bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
