A career in our Sustainability Reporting & Assurance practice will provide you the opportunity to work with organizations on building trusted information they need to make sound decisions. Using advanced technology were able to focus on establishing the right controls processes and structures for our clients to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information and assure that information provided to third parties is accurate complete and can be trusted. Future reporting wont just be about financials it will also be about measures like people insights intellectual capital and social and environmental impacts.
Sustainability is at the top of the agenda for many organizations but many are at different stages in understanding how they should respond. As part of our team youll focus on identifying and prioritizing sustainability issues setting goals that support alignment and integration of the sustainability vision into overall corporate strategy and implementing processes controls systems and dashboards to measure progress for consistent and accurate reporting. Our established team includes economists natural scientists engineers finance and accounting professionals working with some of the worlds leading organizations towards an economy with purpose.
Our Sustainability Reporting & Assurance professionals help organizations effectively manage sustainaiblity related risk and opportunities while also navigating through increasingly complex regulatory requirements. Were helping future proof businesses by making them more resilient and sustainable.
What youll create and do
As an Associate youll work as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to . PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Qualitative and quantitative research using ESG data
Develop and execute on assurance procedures related to ESG attestation engagements
Evaluation of organizations processes & controls to support external reporting
Complex technical accounting and analysis of GAAP impacts related to ESG
Apply analytical skills and specialist knowledge with our worldclass client base
Assist in developing appropriate disclosures in accordance with approved ESG reporting standards and framework
Contribute effectively to complex multidisciplinary projects often supporting several projects at a time
Helping our clients improve the way they report and build trust around their sustainability performance
Assisting our clients in tackling climate change issues and opportunities by providing Greenhouse Gas reporting quantification and assurance
Support internal and external thought leadership while building client relationships and providing industry insight on ESG
Providing ESG reporting & assurance services to household names in a diverse range of industries everyone from bigname broadcasters to multinational banks telecoms operators and energy companies
Participate in client meetings and assist in preparation of deliverables and reports
Business development activities such as assistance in preparation of budgets and proposals and initiating marketing of services to new and existing clients

What youll bring to this role
Enrolled in or completed postsecondary education and working to obtain or have obtained all Canadian CPA prerequisite courses
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to ask questions about data facts and other information to deliver quality to our clients
Share and collaborate effectively with others building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust
Ability to easily adapt and prioritize demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities

Youll be comfortable traveling to cities across Canada (when deemed safe to do so by applicable public health or regulatory authorities and PwC)
This role requires that you are legally entitled to work for PwC in Canada for the intended duration of the offer/contract.
Wed love it even more if youre bilingual in English and French however this isnt a requirement.
