Title: Lecturer (European History)

Other Conditions:

For placement in lecturer pool beginningSpring2025. Positions are parttime temporary nontenure and contingent upon course offerings sufficient student enrollment position clearance and availability of funding. Must be available to teach courses during the day evening weekend and/or via distance learning as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Teach assigned courses in the discipline.
  2. Prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  3. Maintain a minimum of 1 office hour per week for each course taught.
  4. Work under the supervision of department and division chairpersons in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Masters degree inHistory or closely related discipline
  2. Graduate field in European history/studies
  3. Ability to teach the assigned course(s)
  4. Teaching experience in History

Desirable Qualifications

  1. Doctoral degree in European History
  2. Demonstrated excellence in teaching History courses
