Job Description
As a Senior Data Engineer with Maverc I play a key role in architecting and delivering highquality scalable data solutions that empower the organizations AI and machine learning initiatives. With deep expertise in building data pipelines optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity I collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including product owners data scientists and software developers to meet strategic objectives.
- Support the configuration and ingestion of structured unstructured and semistructured data repositories into capabilities that meet mission partner requirements driving a data analytics and DevOps pipeline for rapid delivery of functionality to the client.
- Maintain all operational aspects of data transfers while ensuring the security posture of the infrastructure systems and applications supported and monitor the health of the environment through various health tracking capabilities.
- Automate configuration management leverage tools and stay current on ETL technologies and services.
- Work under general guidance to develop independent approaches to solutions review architecture and identify areas for automation optimization rightsizing and cost reduction to support the health of the environment.
- Apply expertise in data engineeringspecific technologies and services databases and various approaches to data structuring and retrieval. Comprehend Cloud architectural constructs and programmatically establish and maintain Cloud environments using vendor consoles.
- Collaborate with multiple functional groups to understand client challenges prototype new ideas and technologies design and implement solutions and test and deploy full features and components.
- Identify and implement scalable and efficient coding solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with Big Data systems including Apache Spark / Databricks
- Experience with ETL (Extract Transfer Load) processes
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Azure or MilCloud 2.0
- Applying DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and automating that process
- Experience with multiple coding languages
- Experience engineering data pipelines across multiple security domains / classified networks
- Possess a minimum of an activeTop Secret (TS)security clearance withSensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)eligibility
Education:
- Bachelors Degree with 710 years of experience or
- Masters Degree with 5 years of experience.
