Job Description

Position title: Manager of Scheduling and Casual Staff

Job type: Permanent fulltime

Reporting to: Director of Housing and Support Services

We open doors for youth and prevent adult homelessness. We serve atrisk youth experiencing homelessness aging out of care or fleeing violence in the home. Young adults who need a place to call home and people who believe in them. We offer safe housing community and support to help youth make healthy choices and shift toward a brighter future.

Position Overview:

The Manager of Scheduling and Causal Staff is responsible for overseeing staff scheduling and managing a pool of casual employees for a housing nonprofit. This role ensures 24/7 staff coverage coordinates recruitment and training of casual staff and optimizes workforce planning to meet operational needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment while ensuring compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.

This position is permanent fulltime 37.5 hours per week). Primarily Monday to Friday with daytime and afternoon shifts. The salary range for this position is $69498 to $80555 per year dependent on experience and related skills. The successful candidate can expect to enter the organization no higher than the midpoint of the compensation range.

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or Diploma in Social Work Child and Youth Care or a related field; or
  • Bachelors degree in business administration Nonprofit Management Human Resources Operations or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in scheduling workforce planning or staff coordination in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Experience managing casual or temporary staff in a nonprofit or serviceoriented setting.

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday with daytime and afternoon shifts.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
  • Some travel may be required to attend events conferences and meetings.

Special Requirements

  • Criminal record check prior to employment and subject to regular review.
  • A valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required.
  • Uptodate membership in relevant professional associations or societies.
  • Double vaccination as required in the Supportive Recovery Program.
