Allied Concrete is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Total Station Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting precise surveying and layout work using total station equipment. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our construction projects. The Total Station Expert will work closely with project managers engineers and site teams to implement layout plans and support the successful completion of our projects.
Allied Concrete is seeking an experienced Total Station Expert for our concrete teams in Bozeman MT. We are looking for workers with experience in the following:
- Perform precise surveying and layout work using total station equipment.
- Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks on construction sites.
- Ensure accuracy and precision in all layout tasks including building corners walls columns and other structural elements.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications to accurately translate design intent to the field.
- Utilize total station technology to perform asbuilt surveys and verify the accuracy of completed work.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and site teams to develop and implement layout plans.
- Communicate effectively with site personnel to ensure layout tasks are understood and executed correctly.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of layout work including field notes sketches and digital data.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on layoutrelated matters.
- Conduct regular checks to verify the accuracy of layout work and make necessary adjustments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree in surveying geomatics civil engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying and layout work specifically using total station equipment.
- Proficiency in the use of total station equipment GPS and other surveying tools.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
OTHER:
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays on an asneeded basis.
- Ability to work on construction projects in both standard and highrisk areas. Construction site work environment will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls sit talk and hear stand climb balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as required.
