Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Project and Fleet Managers to assess equipment needs and repair problems by using the most costeffective practices.
- Monitor and schedule preventative maintenance and repair operations.
- Maintain and provide a report of all repairs and maintenance actions including parts and labor time on each piece of equipment.
- Stay within monthly and yearly shop budgets.
- Perform mechanical work using conventional hand and power tools in a safe and productive manner.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and work to proactively maintain fleet and equipment.
- Run equipment and service truck for truck / equipment repairs outside of shop and facility needs.
- General shop and office upkeep.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate would possess the following
- The ideal candidate for this position will have over 5 years of experience working on medium duty trucks along with Snowplow equipement.
- Experience with equipment including snow plows mowers skid steers dingos edgers back pack blowers string trimmers ATVs UTVs etc.
- They will have strong experience with engine repairs on International Cummins Cat etc.
- The ideal candidate will also be very proficient in using computer diagnostics software to pinpoint engine hydraulic electrical or electronic issues.
- Must be able to manage workload in cold weather for long hours at times.
- Must be able to order parts as needed.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of of landscape equipment & small equipment including snowplows mowers skid steers dingos edgers backpack blowers string trimmers ATVs UTVs etc.
- Knowledge of snow removal equipment and safe operating procedures.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and critical thinking skills.
- Efficient multitasking ability.
- Basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications and internal computer programs.
- A valid Drivers License (CDL preferred) and ability to meet company guidelines for driver eligibility.

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.
Pay range: $24.00 $35.00
