SUMMARY:

Hospital Services Department Manager is responsible for the daytoday clinical operations and oversight of Outpatient Infusion Center House Supervisors and provides leadership and guidance for Cardiac Rehab in collaboration with the nursing leadership of Hospital Services. The management spectrum covers planning organizing delegating coordinating staff utilization resource management and allocation cost controls and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Supports and collaborates with the Clinical Manager of Med/Surg/Emergency Department/Trauma and the Clinical Manager of Perioperative Services. Assures that the daily staffing assignments and staffing levels are consistent with patient needs and scheduling per the EPH staffing policy.
  • Assesses quality of services delivered along with facilitating staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies procedures and protocols.
  • Within the scope of job critical thinking skills require decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment and take appropriate action.
  • Provides direction orientation training coaching and mentoring to staff.
  • Performs performance evaluations and disciplinary actions in collaboration with Human Resources and nursing leadership.
  • Help recruit interview and hire new employees in collaboration with Human Resources and nursing leadership. (Managers and /or house supervisors).
  • Assists nursing leadership in conducting performance evaluations of all Hospital Services staff.
  • Develops implements and maintains all policies/procedures and forms for scope of service and departments. Collaborates with nursing leadership for house wide nursing polices/procedures and forms.
  • Responsible for assessing all administrative and practice processes while continuously generating ideas for solutions and improvements of practice.
  • Resolves any medicaladministrative problems keeping lines of communication with staff ensuring high employee morale and professional conduct internally as well as during patient care.
  • In Kronos verify attendance hours worked and pay adjustments and post information onto designated records. Also keep track of leave time including PTO sick leave FMLA and STD/LTD.
  • Alerts appropriate individuals regarding ethical and legal concerns following the chain of command (i.e. director risk management quality).
  • Manages all employeerelated paperwork in collaboration with the house supervisors and nursing leadership including Personal Action Requests User Access Forms and FTE and Posting Requests and ensures information is sent to HR promptly.
  • Provides accurate and measurable quality metrics goals to staff and quality/safety Director.
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining budget and capital needs in cooperation with Nursing Leadership.
  • Ensures regulatory readiness for DNV.
  • Perform all jobrelated duties as assigned; may have additional departmentspecific duties assigned as deemed necessary by leadership to meet business needs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program and must possess a valid Colorado RN license or a valid multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in nursing leadership roles as defined by CNO.
  • Active certifications in BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association).

PAY RANGE:

$55.76 $75.83 per hour
