About Strescon
Established in 1963 Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast prestressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. The primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces the New England region of the United States and Bermuda. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural andstructural precast/prestressed concrete products; including bridge girders wall panels complete parking garages hollowcore planking piling and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70000 . in Saint John New Brunswick and 50000 . InBedford Nova Scotia.
In addition to our precast facilitiesStresconopened astate of the art 32000 sq. ft. pipe plantin 2001manufacturingconcrete products for engineered drainage systems such as pipe manholes and catchbasins.
Strescon is currently seeking a Welder to work in our welding department in the precast plant.
Responsibilities
- Fabricating hardware
- Use iron worker (shear) cutting torches and drill press
- Assist the bender machine operator and other welders
- Read blueprints and drawings
Requirements
- SMAW (F.H.V.O.
- FCAW (F.H.V.O.
- Candidates with F & H will be considered
- Oxyacetylene cutting
- Ability to read blue prints or drawings
- Must have own transportation no public transportation available
- Ability to speak and comprehend basic English
- Willing to follow the company safety and quality program
- Good attendance and a positive attitude
- Must be a team player selfmotivated and able to work efficiently and safely in a fastpaced environment
- work environment is set in an indoor shop
