Job Description
Major Duties:
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems
including aircooled chillers VRFs split systems walkin coolers and ice machines (no
hotside work).
- Repair or replace pumps refrigeration/AC equipment pneumatic and electric valves heat
transfer equipment ventilation and air distribution systems.
- Install and adjust refrigeration/AC components such as valves thermostats variable
frequency drives transformers and pressure regulators. Make necessary electrical
connections.
- Test pipe or tubing joints for leaks using pressure gauges or soapandwater solution.
- Respond to temperaturerelated complaints adjusting thermostats and using HVAC/R energy
management systems to achieve optimal temperature control.
- Maintain assigned truck tools and equipment.
- Comply with safety standards and procedures maintaining a clean and safe work
environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment RFVs and chiller troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in inspecting testing repairing and maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning
systems.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools basic mathematics and safe work practices.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
