Coordinates patient care throughput and nurse staffing needs during assigned shift.
Reports to: Lead Nursing Supervisor and designated Unit Director
Minimum Education
Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing or RN Diploma Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Ability to apply basic nursing knowledge
to all setting in the hospital. Requires ability to function effectively within a highlevel multitask environment.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Required to be current upon
hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Required
within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Required within
6 months of hire
Licenses: Must have upon hire and maintain Tennessee or MultiState Registered Nurse licensure
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 2 years hospital nursing experience required. Experience as charge nurse or nurse manager
preferred.
