Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs ensuring that educational goals and objectives are met. Assess students abilities and learning styles to determine appropriate teaching methods and strategies. Adapt and modify instructional materials and techniques to accommodate students diverse learning needs. Collaborate with other teachers support staff and parents to create a supportive network for students. Monitor and evaluate student progress providing ongoing feedback and support. Utilize assistive technology and resources effectively to enhance learning experiences. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters students social and emotional growth. Maintain accurate and organized records of student performance attendance and behavior.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in special education or a related field required (Masters degree preferred). Active state license for OH as an Intervention Specialist. Experience working with students with diverse special needs such as learning disabilities autism spectrum disorder and emotional/behavioral disorders. 2 years of experience as an Intervention Specialist in school settings
