Seeking a Plant HR Manager for our beverage can plant. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager with dottedline to Corporate HR. This HR Manager functions as the HR Business Partner for a manufacturing facility in order to align HR objectives with strategic organizational objectives. Works closely and guides management in various areas such as employee relations leadership development change management performance consulting diversity management conflict management legal compliance etc. Viewed by the plant team as a partner coach and resource. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Works collaboratively with plant to improve business results and meet objectives. Assists in developing effective longterm staffing plans to get the right people in the right jobs at the right time. Plan develop and implement wage and salary programs to align with business strategy and external competitive concerns. Provide expertise to plant on leadership development performance management change management resource planning salary planning etc. Consult with employees at all levels through listening objectively and then providing solutions that support positive business results. Participate in the development of corporate and departmental goals and objectives with particular focus on alignment of various departments supported. Educate and monitor management actions and decisions to maintain compliance with legal requirements. Evaluate changing demographics legal and technical developments in the field and develop new programs to meet the corporations needs. Challenge and direct plant management team to apply values to daytoday actions and decisions. Integrate Ardagh standards of Leadership into client systems such as Performance Management Succession Planning Selection process etc. Review personnel actions including merit increases promotions transfers and disciplinary actions. Manage the uniform application of policies and procedures and the application of discipline Degree in Business Administration Human Resources or related area. Masters degree in applicable area preferred. Five years experience in Human Resources at a management level. Experience independently identifying developing and leading key strategic projects to meet corporate business goals HR agendas and employee needs and expectations. Ability to guide efforts of plantlevel HR resource to identify opportunities and lead change. Knowledge of HRIS and payroll software to assure adequate recordkeeping reporting administrative compliance consistent with regulatory and internal practices and insure overall data integrity in field location. Ability to utilize available data for assessment of current state on progress on key initiatives. Previous experience driving positive results in a union environment. Ability and experience to establish effective approaches to improve employee engagement efforts. Effective in problems solving. Experience and comfort working in teambased matrix environment. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver information analysis and to persuade decision making. Ability to communicate with all levels of employees especially during difficult and challenging situations. Knowledge in the area of talent acquisition performance management and retention. Familiarity with automated payroll record systems employee data bases timekeeping software.
