The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical operations ensuring the delivery of highquality patientcentered care and supporting staff within a designated department or clinical area. This role involves overseeing workflows managing resources and fostering collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for clinical inquiries process improvements and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates daily clinical operations including patient flow resource allocation and staff assignments to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Supports clinical staff by providing guidance addressing concerns and assisting with complex patient care situations.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate care plans ensuring alignment with patient needs and departmental goals.
- Assists in onboarding and training new clinical staff ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Maintains accurate documentation related to patient care clinical activities and quality measures as required.
- Serves as a liaison between clinical staff physicians patients and families to facilitate communication and resolve concerns.
- Ensures the availability and proper use of equipment supplies and resources needed for patient care.
- Participates in emergency response planning and supporting staff and patients during critical situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- 13 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required
- 12 years of prior experience in a coordination role preferred

- Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to oversee complex patient care situations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among interdisciplinary teams.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Critical thinking and problemsolving skills for addressing operational challenges.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations policies and quality improvement practices.
- Ability to train mentor and support clinical staff in adhering to best practices and standards.
Licenses and Certifications
- RN Registered Nurse State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS Basic Life Support required
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
