Description- Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Create process plans for new projects.
- Provide quotations for new projects and tooling.
- Provide preoperational drawings.
- Provide technical guidance.
- Control cost of manufacturing methods.
- Specify and recommend tooling fixturing methods and equipment.
- Test and troubleshoot tools fixtures machines and processes.
- Develop and maintain accurate plant layouts.
- Work with Product Engineering suppliers and customers to develop parts.
- Active involvement in process improvement teams.
- Coordinate/start up projects.
- Work with Training Coordinator to implement training for associates on new machinery as required.
- Work with the Gage Engineer to specify gaging techniques and equipment.
- Practice and maintain a good relationship with all GKN business units and VS team leaders.
- Schedule delivery of all tools fixtures gages and equipment on time.
- Supervise daily activities and projects for students as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Four Year Engineering Degree Preferred
Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Creo & Auto Cad & SAP.
3 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering Setting (Preferably TS 16949 certified)
Must be self motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
