Job Description
Seeking candidates for our seasonal Marina Manager position at Hueston Woods!This position is responsible for all aspects of our fullservice fuel dock and boat rental.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role
- At least 2 years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of safely operating various water vessels maintenance and operations of docks & fueling stations
- Knowledge of maritime laws and regulations
- Prior Marina work or boat ownership helpful
- Must be able to swim
- If not currently certified must complete a NASBLA Boater Safety Course
- If not currently certified must complete ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work any shift weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to repeatedly and continuously bend reach lift push and twist.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing between 20 and 60 pounds per day.
- Ability to interact with guests in order to assure satisfaction.
- Ability to pull in boats up to 40 in length.
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within service time frames established by the company.
- Must be able to perform tasks in a safe manner and adhere to company policy.
- Must be 18 or older
- Must have successfully completed a Boaters Education Course (provide card)
- Must have a valid Driver License
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Primary essential functions for this position include but are not limited to:
- Assist with all aspects of the fullservice fuel dock and the boat rental fleet
- Assist boaters with docking boats upon arrival.
- Assist with boaters upon departure from the marina.
- Clean inspect and report on the condition of the rental fleet
- Assist and support special events at the marina that may take place outside of normal operating hours
- Clean restrooms docks walkways sidewalks equipment and all other areas of the facility
- Provide exceptional guest service to marina guests by assisting in any manner necessary.
- Assist with groundskeeping or maintenance tasks as needed.
- Train employees in the Kitchen area to properly prepare food according to established guidelines and maintain Kitchen area using established sanitation guidelines.
- Plans schedules and directs all marina staff activities on a daily basis
- Finds and implements professional resolution to problems and complaints as they occur.
- Communicates with the GM on a daily basis regarding operational developments of concern.
- Approve all weekly time sheets /payroll purchase orders and invoices. Update time & attendance sheets as needed.
- Participate in property meetings and employee functions as required.
