Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking to add a Test Engineer to our Liquid Cooling team. This person will be based in Austin TX and will be responsible to direct and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in the Manufacturing operations to drive Process development and manage technical relationship with customer to support NPI processes for our organizations global operations.
What a typical day looks like:
- Will act as the first escalation point globally for all product programs projects and operational performance issues.
- Ensure collaborative crossfunctional teamwork to effectively initiate plan execute monitor and control all phases of NPI.
- Ensure effective twoway communications between Flex Operations and Global Account Management.
- Facilitate and enhance crossfunctional relationship to maximize customer satisfaction criteria and operational performance
- Provide the necessary leadership and support to site Program & Project Managers (design NPI operations etc. to ensure programs are executed to plans.
- Participate in NPI program reviews.
- Ensure all programs and project teams adhere to the Flex Product Life Cycle Process (FPLC) process.
- Be responsive to customer requests and ensure high Customer Satisfaction.
- Ensure effective and timely corrective action of any performance and customer related issues.
- Recognizes and develops talent as a key element of executing operational business plans. Ensures Flexs values are part of site work life. Provides strategic leadership for the function.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Bachelors Engineering degree
- 10 years experience in testing and debug of high end servers and switches
- 3 years experience in assembly/design of Liquid Cooled systems.
- Good knowledge of infrastructure to support testing of Liquid Cooled systems.
- Experience with managing advanced process development activities.
- Previous experience working within Manufacturing supporting NPI and Product Transfers.
- Strong customer and Program management experience with Tier 1 OEMs.
- Good knowledge of System Integration processes and Liquid Cooling infrastructure.
- Ability to interface and communicate with different levels of the organization both at customer & Flex.
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail. Ability to dig deep into issues when needed.

- Both OEM and EMS company experience.
- Management of process development and characterization activities.
- Management of crossfunctional teams in a matrix organization.
- Experience working in a global environment across time zones / regions.
- Experience in both PCBA and Back End assembly processes.
