Whats the role
As a Software Engineering Specialist you will be involve working for one of the largest banks in Australia and exists to design and develop software solutions ensuring adherence to relevant standards and processes. The position sits within the Business Lending domain which delivers customer servicing and originations technology solutions for the banks business customer portfolio via both online and staff facing channels.
This role will move you into an extremely innovative and growing engineering team where you will be working on a range of exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality reusable software solutions for critical business applications.
Design develop and maintain applications aligned with Group standards.
Prepare and update functional and technical documentation.
Create detailed design documents for accurate sizing and costing.
Apply Design Thinking to build customer-centric viable solutions.
Conduct unit testing to ensure performance and reliability.
Work within Agile frameworks to deliver incremental value.
Ensure coding standards compliance and security protocols are met.
Review code for quality security and fraud prevention.
Mentor and guide a team of developers.
What do I need
Strong skills in HTML5/CSS T-SQL and Git.
Solid understanding of OOP and entity relationship management.
Familiarity with design patterns and RDBMS concepts.
Experience in designing database objects (tables indexes constraints etc.).
Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle and application support.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or in a team.
A passion for learning new technologies.
