Overview

We are seeking a Program Assistant for our Adult Day Program at Catholic Eldercare! Join our fun program team and make a difference in our participants lives!

Schedule: This is a full time position that works 4 days a week: MondayFriday with a rotating day off. Scheduled hours being 8:00 am4:00pm.

About our community

Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis offering services in assisted living independent living skilled nursing memory care transitional care and adult day services.

Responsibilities

The Program Assistant will provide personal care for participants and assist with daily activities and meals. This position is responsible for motivating and monitoring client participation in daily activities as well as observing and acknowledging any symptoms or changes to client behavior. Other duties include completing all required documentation setup and serving of lunch and snacks and assisting other staff members with implementing services and activites for the Adult Day participants.

Qualifications

  • 1 year hands on experience working with a population with various diagnoses including dementia preferred
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • CPR First Aid & Airway Obstruction training orwillingness to obtain within 30 days.

All Catholic Eldercare employees will be required to be vaccinated for COVID19. Any new hires who are not fully vaccinated against COVID19 are required to become fully vaccinated before starting. Accommodation and exemption requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
