The opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists in our Process Technology department within the Metals division for a Production Engineer located in Fort Saskatchewan Alberta. The purpose of this position is to provide advice and oversee the production and efficiency of the plant units as well as provide process engineering support to the operating plants.
Our standard work schedule includes a fulltime onsite presence to foster collaboration and community. We recognize the importance of flexibility in todays dynamic work environment. We offer adaptable flexibility to ensure that our team members can succeed while balancing personal commitments.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Conducting monthly consumption reporting and annual budget preparation.
- Providing monthly input to the metallurgical balance and assisting with environmental incident reports.
- Monitoring plant performance reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) and leading troubleshooting efforts.
- Advising on compliance with safety environmental and regulatory standards.
- Supporting the creation review and implementation of Operations standards and procedures to ensure zero harm.
- Leading and providing process engineering support for Management of Change (MOC) projects plant trials maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering.
- P. Eng or EIT designation with APEGA.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and influence effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
