eBay Motors is a multibillion dollar global portfolio with a focus on the vehicle parts & accessories business which is among the largest on eBay and core to eBays strategic future. Within that a critical component of our success is our commitment to provide value support insights & partnerships with our top strategic sellers.
We are looking to hire a US Parts & Accessories Manager who will manage some of our largest strategic relationships including overseeing the strategic direction and of key initiatives team of dedicated account/partner development managers. This leader will be responsible for accelerating segment growth through defining and driving segment strategy influencing crossfunctional teams at eBay (such as category product managers and analytics) and collaborating with key external partners. This role will lead the identification account development initiative management and delivery of key strategic revenue/GMV driving roles within this team while creating a trusted relationship for seller growth. This is a people manager role located in San Jose CA New York NY or remote locations in the US.
The ideal candidate is an independent strategic longrange problem solver who understands the dynamics of twosided ecommerce marketplaces understands the critical nature of our top seller segments collaborates well with crossfunctional partners and possesses strong people manager experience and executiveready communications.
Responsibilities
Create longterm strategic vision for toptier seller segments and identify key initiatives that drive successful growth & revenue opportunities
Drive progress against achievements for key critical initiatives
Understand business performance and key drivers in buyer and seller funnels
Understand broader competitive landscape and find opportunities for partnership and growth
Partner with category and business unit leaders to effectively problemsolve challenges that arise for customers and extrapolate into broader initiatives
Build and own executiveready presentations on strategy and operational updates with both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Track record of strategic leadership structured thinking and ability to prioritize against multiple initiatives
People management experience including managing team members working remotely
Strong crossfunctional leader who is also recognized as a collaborator and partner
Executive level verbal and written communication skills including the ability to tell a compelling story backed by data
High degree of ownership and dedication to results
Selfmotivated to find opportunities and challenges in the business
Datadriven approach to planning and decision making. Comfortable and handson with data analytics and modeling.
Organized problem solver who balances attention to detail with efficiency
Willingness to become an expert in the industry engage with customers directly and a strong desire to help eBay grow
Requirements
8 years of related experience a corporate strategy role at a major corporation and 5 years as a people manager
Industry experience in consumer goods retail ecommerce or consumer tech
Interest and/or experience in Motors a plus but not required
BA/BS or equivalent experience required MBA or similar graduate degree preferred
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$101200 $174100Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
