About the role:

The Consultant Deakin Transformation plays a key role in delivering and embedding change programs across the university. This position supports a wide range of organisational change initiatives including cultural technological and workforce transformation ensuring they are effectively implemented and sustained.

Working closely with senior leaders and crossfunctional teams the Consultant drives engagement alignment and integration of transformation efforts. Reporting to the Senior Manager Deakin Transformation this role is essential in supporting the seamless delivery of change and contributing to the universitys longterm transformation goals.

As a Consultant you will:

  • Support the implementation of organisational change initiatives ensuring they are integrated and effectively embedded across the university with a focus on culture technology and workforce transformation.
  • Partner with People & Culture to facilitate workshops meetings and decisionmaking sessions to drive engagement embed new ways of working and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Partner with People & Culture to support leaders in aligning priorities embedding cultural shifts and integrating change within their teams.
  • Coach leaders on effective change management practices and support them in driving engagement managing resistance and sustaining transformation efforts.
  • Support leaders by coaching them on how to manage and embed change effectively.
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning in change management.
  • Monitor measure and track the impact of transformation initiatives identifying barriers and adjusting strategies to drive successful implementation.
  • Work within a networked model supporting collaboration across People & Culture Infrastructure & Digital Finance & Assurance and Customer Experience teams. Ensure alignment in the implementation of change programs and act as a key point of contact for these teams.
  • Take ownership of critical administrative responsibilities related to change initiatives including maintaining accurate data for decision making.

To be successful youll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications along with extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Proven experience as a business consultant or specialist in a businessrelated field.
  • Strong background in organisational change and transformation particularly in implementing and embedding change initiatives in cultural capability technological and workforce contexts.
  • Excellent administrative and data management skills including the ability to handle sensitive data maintain accurate records and manage information critical to workforce planning and change projects.
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience leading workshops meetings and collaborative discussions with senior leaders and crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic collaborative environment balancing competing priorities while supporting others to achieve shared goals.
