New York Institute of Technology seeks a Purchasing Specialist located at the Old Westbury campus.
Conduct sourcing for products as necessary and issue purchase orders for goods and services; conduct followup to resolve open purchase orders.
Responsible for vendor data management including issuing and reviewing prequalification forms and applications.
Assist Senior Procurement Specialist(s) Manager and Director with RFP development and process.
Assist PCardholders by troubleshooting declined transactions; handle requests for limit changes.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred.
Ability to assess and demonstrate working knowledge of common procurement principles ethics and standards with integrity and confidentiality.
Good computer skills and knowledge required: Microsoft Office and Workday.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
Strong organizational skills is required.
