Mission

As part of launch complex team you will be responsible for the Designof launch pads Mechanism. You will design elements such as racks launch ramp transport systemsramp erection systems rocket release systems etc.

In addition it will play a crucial role in the testing and validationprocesses thus ensuring the overall quality and performance of our launch padMechanism.

Responsibilities

• Design the mechanisms for launch pads and itsmechanical and structural components from the concept definition to thedetailed design performing also the standard components selection such asfasteners bearings etc.
• Functional analysis kinematic of mechanisms and clashanalysis as well as material selection in accordance with operatingconditions environment etc.
• Selection of hydraulic actuators according torequirements.
• Generation of engineering documentation: 3D modelsdrawings bill of materials weight reports technical reports engineeringchange notes assemblies and installation manuals.
• Prototyping testing qualification and production.
• Support manufacturing and assembly processesproviding technical guidance and resolving any designrelated issues that ariseduring production or mounting.
• Support the supply chain department in purchases ofdesigned elements and subsystems ensuring compliance with requirementsspecifications delivery time and cost.

NecessaryRequirements

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or arelated field such as industrial engineering aerospace engineering orelectromechatronics engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in 3D design software (Solidworks SolidEdge NX Catia or Inventor).
• Experience in Drawing dimensioning Tolerance StackAnalysis and Methods (ASME Y14.5 ISO 1101.
• Experience in mechanism design and selection ofstandard components (bearings actuators transmissions etc..
• Familiar with manufacturing technologies(machining sheet metal forming welding)and assemblys processes
• Proven in the development of products from the conceptdesign through to the production and delivery of assembly.
• Knowledge in application of design criteria andselection of materials according to their mechanical properties according tothe loading conditions working environment etc.
• Able to work autonomously with little supervision
• Availability to travel occasionally.
• Fluent written and oral communication both in Spanishand English.

DesiredRequirements

• Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of Siemens NX & Teamcenter
• Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
• Demonstrated experience in design of industrialmachinery and Mechanism
• Familiarity with industry standards (DIN ISO etc).
• Familiarity with mechanical design and manufacturingprocesses.
• Soft skills such as effective communication withstakeholders ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and share ideas.
• Ability to make informed decisions under pressure andmeet tight deadlines in a dynamic and challenging environment.
• High level of English.
