Job Description

Title: Coordinator People Operations

Reporting to: Senior Manager People Operations

Classification: Fulltime

Location: Hybrid in Santa Monica CA

Compensation: $65000 $75000 annual base

Were looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join the team at Wave! In this role youll work closely with the Senior People Operations Manager to help build and support the people programs that keep our team thriving. Youll take ownership of key daytoday processes like onboarding systems management and employee support while also pitching in on exciting projects that improve how we work. Were looking for someone whos organized proactive and eager to learnsomeone whos not afraid to speak up with ideas and help us find smarter more efficient ways to solve People Ops challenges. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to grow quickly gain handson experience across the People function and make a real impact in a fastmoving startup environment.

This is a hybrid role based in Santa Monica CA with 3 days per week in the office. This position is not eligible for fulltime remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Support and help execute an efficient engaging onboarding process that sets new hires up for success including orientation scheduling and cultural integration activities
  • Partner with the People Operations Manager and hiring managers to help keep Recruiting and offer processes organized and moving smoothly
  • Maintain and update data in our People tools and help streamline workflows within them
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee records org charts and files in our HRIS system
  • Assist in the coordination and logistics of performance review cycles and related communications
  • Help organize and communicate training and development opportunities for employees
  • Assist with compliance tracking audit preparation and staying uptodate on federal state and local employment laws
  • Act as the first point of contact for daytoday employee questions about benefits time off and policiesincluding employee relations intake
  • Collaborate on culture initiatives and employee experience programshelping with communication logistics and followthrough
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of People Ops processes and documentation
  • Jump in to help with general People IT or office operations tasks as needed
  • Serve as our goto office coordinatormanaging supplies kitchen stock and vendor or contractor communications

Qualifications

  • 12 years of experience in a People/HR administrative or coordinatorlevel role
  • Experience supporting People Ops or HR functions in a fastpaced startup or digital media environment is a plus
  • Recruiting experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working in hybrid and virtual team settings
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep systems and processes organized
  • Proficient with Google Workspace and has a working knowledge of Excel or Sheets
  • Selfstarter who is proactive eager to learn and able to prioritize tasks independently
  • A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative and curious mindsetyoure excited to find better ways to do things
  • Interested in growing a career in People Operations

This role is a fulltime position with a base salary of $70000/year and may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Actual salary at the time of offer may vary based on multiple factors including an individuals level of experience and qualifications. Physical Requirements Work Environment

  • Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware.
  • The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately.
  • Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours.
  • Able to work fulltime MF and nights and weekends as needed.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.
  • The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during production when in the office.
