Job Description
Weekly outpatient therapy isnt always enough and a trip to the ER isnt the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis every day wehelp people overcome depression anxiety suicidality obsessions/compulsions trauma chronic pain and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
As the largest provider of PHP/IOP programs and psychiatric services in Illinois Compass Health Center is one of the fastestgrowing behavioral health organizations in the country. We are thrilled to expand our exceptionally innovative and highly distinguished programs that redefine our industry and raise the standard for comprehensive care.
Launching in September 2025 our newest location in Brookfield WI will be home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers will build our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of wellestablished clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.
As a Primary Therapist youll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings collaborating with patients outpatient teams and leading patients through their overall treatment program. Youll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams including Group Therapists Family Therapists and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
This role will work with patients aged 18 in our Mood & Anxiety Program while also offering the opportunity to be crosstrained within our Adult specialty programs and services: Trauma OCD/Complex Anxiety Mental Health and Substance Use. The Adult Primary Clinical Therapist is ideal for someone who is eager to collaborate with an array of clinicians and patient populations while broadening their clinical skillset through ample training and support.
*Note that this position is slated to start in late July and will receive 6 weeks of comprehensive training prior to seeing patients in September.
What Youll Do
- Complete intake evaluations as needed to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program
- Create and update treatment plans
- Meet with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning
- Coordinate care with patients individual providers to ensure continuity of care
- Assess patients progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
- Communicate with patients family members or support system when indicated
- Chart in our electronic medical records system
- Engage in crisis management as part of a treatment team
- Participate in professional development activities
- Provide group and family therapy as needed
- Other duties as needed
Who You Are
- Are a Psychologist or Masters level therapist with clinical license
- 2 years clinical work experience postMasters (strongly preferred)
- Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as other evidencedbased therapies
- Have experience with patients in crisis ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization intensive outpatient inpatient hospital or residential setting

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including but not limited to your years of experience type of experience location and education/certifications.
