Purpose of the Role
Were looking for an Associate Commercial Finance Business Partner to join Dentsu and provide strategic commercial support for the UK Media Service Line. The role will be split between Commercial Business Partnering and FP&A activities. You will be supporting the Senior Commercial Finance Partner and playing a key role in adding value and insight improvingprofitability and minimising business risk with a focus on costs and operating expenses but with exposure to revenue too.
You will work closely with the central FP&A Team to ensure budgets and forecasts are prepared to a high standard review KPIs and metrics and predict outcomes of resource allocation and investment decisions underpinning strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Business Partnering
Be a trusted business partner by building strong relationships with brand and capability leads and their teams and with Media Operations and HR.
Forecast the impact of client wins and losses; work with the Resource Management team to model and enforce the efficient allocation of resources to ensure that we have the optimum number of staff to deliver the work without inversely impacting the service line margin. For client exits ensure that any savings targets are allocated fairly across the capabilities as appropriate.
Work with the Senior Finance Business Partners to interpret and report on P&L performance in the monthly brand / channel review meetings. Ensure the drive of optimal P&L performance; review and ensure accurate revenue recognition exert control over spending and proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities to the budget.
Identifies and drives operational improvement through analysis of financial plans management information and performance. Design and monitor KPIs for the brand and capability leads and assist them on achieving their targets.
Supports analysis of client profitability and identifies and supports initiatives to improve profitability/margin on individual clients.
Support Media CF on ad hoc projects / tasks across all pillars of commercial finance.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Work with the central FP&A Team and the Senior Finance Business Partner to prepare the budget. Partner with the business to understand the strategic direction goals and performance of the service line and ensure this is reflected in the monthly and quarterly forecasts.
Provide high quality forecasts and commercial insight to improve business and works with business leaders to understand short medium and longterm resource requirements
Qualifications Skills
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Experience in financial data analysis forecasting and modelling.
A proven ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and to be a trusted advisor and confidante. Able to facilitate persuade and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple conflicting deadlines.
Resilient adaptable and able to work in a complex fast paced matrix environment.
