Job Description
Ecolab theglobal leader in premium cleaning sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality institutional andindustrial markets is seeking a Lab Technician! This role is responsible for making measurements performing routine quantitative and qualitative biological chemical analytical tests researching technical literature and evaluating old processes.

What You Will Do:
- Assists in development of formulations fora variety ofapplications
- Responsible for all steps of routine experimentation including sample prep equipment orientation instrument control data processing and analysis
- Conducts product performance and field testing
- Approves holds and/or rejects products based on laboratory analysis versus specifications
- Ensures compliance to current regulatory requirements following GMP guidelines for data reporting and preparation of validation protocols raw data generation and final reports
- Conducts reexamination of borderline results research technical literature and communicates opportunities for process improvements
- Multitasks between many projects to ensure the various completion deadlines are met
- Recommends testing parameters completes experiments and project work as assigned
- Provides analytical and technical support for quality related product investigations
- Completes data reviews for outofspecification test results issuing SPC charts of historical results
- Optimizes and recommends lab improvements to support 5S initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Position Details:
- Location: Joliet IL
- Work Week/Shift: 6PM to 6AM Week 1: MTFSa Week 2: SuWTh
- Compensation: $27.00 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree
- 2 years of laboratory technician or quality control experience in a similar environment
- Experience in experimental design and analysis
- Experience working with statistical software
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- No immigration sponsorship available for this role
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to pass a drug screenand physical exam
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or related field
- Laboratory Technician experience in a regulated production environment
- Background in chemical plant safety
- HPLC FTIR AA or other instrument training
- Practical understanding of chemistry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
